Prodapt, a premier global technology consulting and managed services provider specializing exclusively in the Connectedness vertical (Telecom, Cloud, and Media ecosystems), is hiring a Lead / Senior Software Engineer for its core backend development division in Chennai. Operating within an agile, hybrid delivery framework, this high-impact position sits at the intersection of application architecture, high-concurrency data design, and technical team leadership. You will take foundational ownership of designing, building, and maintaining high-performance RESTful APIs and decoupled, distributed services from the ground up to support massive telecom and network orchestration platforms. Beyond writing clean code, you will work closely with principal architects to translate complex business specifications into technical solutions, enforce elite engineering standards via rigorous code reviews, optimize network latency, and mentor mid-level developers within active Scrum loops.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent graduation in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative engineering field.
• 5 to 13 years of verified professional software development experience specializing in enterprise-grade backend systems and large-scale data infrastructures.
• Expert-level, production-tested development proficiency in Python using asynchronous frameworks, specifically FastAPI (or advanced knowledge of matching async engines).
• High-level implementation experience managing non-blocking distributed systems utilizing Celery for asynchronous background worker task routing and RabbitMQ as a high-throughput message broker.
• Expert database skills handling relational engines—specifically configuring, optimizing, and query tuning MariaDB layers, combined with hands-on experience implementing high-availability Database Clustering patterns.
• Thorough conceptual understanding of horizontal scaling patterns, container load balancing, memory caching, and mitigating performance vulnerabilities across high-volume transaction networks.
• Direct workflow familiarity collaborating with DevOps squads to monitor continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, containerized orchestration, and release build gates.
• Proven capability to drive sprint planning meetings, act as a bridge across product squads, provide constructive architectural code reviews, and guide junior developers to build autonomously.
